Why I started competing?  A friend of mine in Maryland told me I had the build and the cuts to do so.  I also got advice from a friend of mine Kenyatta Wilson who is my workout partner on why I should compete and that sealed the deal.

Competitions: 2007 Paradise Cup  2nd place in the middle weight category.  Won several competitions on the powerlifting circuit, primarily for the bench press.  I was pressing 370 and weighing 171lbs through using proper technique and having a strength coach that made us leave  the gym if we didn't get all our reps.

I plan on doing more shows in the near future.  Right now I am planning on Stingray Classic 2008 and Armed Forces  Hawaii 2008.

More about Anthony Ware:

Anthony Ware back double biceps pose1. How did you get started in Bodybuilding?

A friend of mine from Maryland and my workout partner Kenyatta Wilson.

2. What is your training philosophy?

To make every rep count!  Train like it's your last day on Earth.

3. What is your diet like?

I usually stick with oatmeal for breakfast.   A mid-morning protein shake.  Then lunch time I eat a chicken breast with a side salad.  I make sure I don't have any bread, cheese or diary products when I'm dieting.  I eat fish, turkey or another chicken breast for dinner, with mixed vegetables.  I make sure to get at least one gallon of water per day.  I also make sure to have some glutamine in the morning and after workout. I usually end the day with casein protein before I go to bed.

4. Who are your role models?

My role models are God and my uncle Jeff.  Like I tell my son pick respectable people to look up to and there is no better being than God.

5. What advice would you give to new athletes

To not sell yourself short.  Always stay clean and never sellout for a quick buck, because in the long run your heart and other organs will appreciate it.

V/R,

Anthony Ware
