1. How did you get started in Bodybuilding - Fitness - Figure? Growing up I was always the chubby kid, I always wanted to fit in the with the other kids my age. The summer before high school I decided I was going to do something about it. I joined the gym and over one summer I lost 30lbs and when school started no one could recognize me. I received comments all the time at bout how much better I look. My goal was really just to look like everybody else and not have to be self conscious, however the drastic changes I made, didn't make me fit in at all, it made me stand out. I loved it, I no longer wanted to look like everyone else, I wanted to stand out in a good way. I wanted to walk around and have everyone tell me how muscular I had gotten. So decided to start putting on muscle. The more positive results I saw, the more work I put in. This eventually led me into the sport of competitive natural bodybuilding.

2. What is your training philosophy?. After years of trial and error, using every possible training method you can think of, I have found that any training program can work for your goals provided you are able to find the correct balance of volume, intensity, and frequency. As for a natural athlete I believe the .most important aspects of your training should be focused on high and high frequency.
3. What is your diet like? Over the years I have had to find what dieting approach works best through trial and error as well. Now off-season and even when dieting for a contest, I never limit myself to food choices. Its simple, I have a plan on macronutrient goals for the day, and I reach them eating what ever foods I want as long as at the end of the day I reached my protein, carbohydrate, and fat goals. If you can cause a caloric deficit and still eat foods you enjoy, why not?

4. Who are your role models? I am a huge fan of athletes who decided to stay natural and achieved natural pro cards. Two names that stand out the most to me when I think of natural bodybuilding are Layne Norton and Tommy Jeffers.
5. What advice would you give to new athletes? The first thing I always tell a new athlete is to set goals and decide if you are willing to put in the work and time to reach them. Too many people never set a clear goal and this is where they fail. If you have a goal set and you reach mini goals along the way you will keep going. Always set goals for yourself.
