"Integrity First" Kenyatta Wilson - (Updated)
First of all I would like to thank the United States Air Force for instilling me with the discipline that has help me achieve my personal & professional goals. The Air Force Core Values have exemplified my brief bodybuilding career.
Integrity First - doing what's right by staying drug free and going to physical training when I'm directed to.
Service Before Self -Sacrificing gym time by working late when things get busy & just going on my personal time.
Excellence In All We Do - Striving to be in the best physical conditioning possible so I can serve my country to the fullest.
Name: Kenyatta Wilson Age: 30 Hometown: Washington, North Carolina Occupation: United States Air Force 10 yrs. Network Administrator Hobbies: Bodybuilding & Power Lifting
Goals: Become a certified personal trainer, natural pro bodybuilder & own my own gym one day.

"I love stepping on stage competing against others. It's especially pleasing beating guys that I know aren't clean"
I normally work out 6 days per week. I focus on one body part per day & then do 1 or 2 exercises for a secondary body part. Since I have a power lifting background I like to go heavy on my squats, bench press & dead lifts during the off season. Here's my current split.
Monday - Legs Tuesday - Chest & 2 exercise for Triceps Wed - Back & 2 exercises for Biceps Thur- Legs & Shoulders Friday - Biceps & 2 exercises for Back Saturday - Triceps & 2 exercises for Chest Sunday - Rest
I do abs 2 to 3 times per week along with cardio. I'm also doing 100 to 200 calf raises every other day b/c my calves are my weak point. I've been seeing pretty decent gains from this workout & will stick with it for another few months.
My advice to aspiring athletes is to learn proper form first. I think correct form is much more important than how much you can lift. Once you begin using correct form your strength will increase. I also think to many of the young athletes are getting caught up with all the supplement advertisements. These companies are paying athletes to promote their products & say they use them. Don't expect to look like Ronnie Coleman or Jay Cutler after taking the products they advertise. As a natural athlete I find it important not to get caught up in all the different supplements out there. I think protein, creatine & multi-vitamin is enough to build a great physique.

Update:
Past - I began working out January 2000. At that time I didn't imagine I would grow to love the sports of bodybuilding & power lifting so much. Initially my goals were simply to get bigger arms and chest. I started out by purchasing a 35.lb dumbbell and some push-up bars. Every night at 7PM I would perform as many dumbbell curls as I could, sets of push-ups & sit-ups. I could only curl the 35.lb dumbbell 3 or 4 times so I was a little discourage & regretted the decision of not choosing a lighter weight. Over the next month my repetitions with the 35.lb dumbbell increased. Friends and co-workers began noticing changes on my 133.lb frame. My co-worker/friend James Carder convinced me to start going to the gym. When I began working out with James we worked out 5 days per week, targeting one body part per day. This concept was new to me and very painful. I was only accustomed to working chest & arms. So the first time we did legs I told myself my gym days were over. It was back to video games for me. However James convinced me that I wouldn't always be that sore & I should stick with the routine.
Present - Currently I'm serving in the United States Air Force stationed at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. Recently I earned my WNBF Pro Card by winning the light weight & overall class as the 2009 U.S Forces-Europe Bodybuilding & Figure Championship in Wiesbaden, Germany. It's a tremendous feeling to finally accomplish this goal. My current split is:
Day 1 - Legs Day 2 - Chest & 2 exercises for Triceps Day 3 - Back & 2 exercises for Biceps Day 4 - Shoulders Day 5 - Biceps & Triceps Day 6 - Heavy Squats, Bench Press & Deadlifts Day 7 - REST
I mix abdominals and calves in several days a week. I'm also doing cardio 2 to 3 times per week. This will increase as the contest approaches.
Future - In the near future I'll begin studying for a personal trainer certification so I can help others achieve their goals. I feel I can be a positive influence on others and I want to make sure I'm knowledgably to help with their fitness goals. I'm also working with my Top of The Rock Bodybuilding teammates to help them prepare for upcoming shows.

This profile is just what I needed to stay focused and be an example for other SNCO to lead from the front!
Thanks and keep it up!
My son is a huge fan of yours and tells me what a inspiration you are to him. He is 15 and really into weight lifting. He also plays football and wrestles. You are friends with him on body space. (Tikorockz) He is a very good wrestler 17-1 this season so far. He tells me he does not want to wrestle any more. I think it is a huge mistake. If there is any advise you can give to help me encourage him to continue wrestling throughout high school I would really appreciate it. He is really good! His reasoning is that he doesn't like it that much and he wants to concentrate on body building. I know wrestling is a great work out, probably one of the best. Since he is 15, mom's opinion does not hold much weight with him, no pun intended. Thanks for taking time to read this, any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.
Super proud mama,
