Default Good bench?

OK, next on the Lil Diesel Underground Gym hitlist will be a good, SOLID, bench that preferably goes from decline to 90 degrees. I've seen a few but they have been really pricey (like $250-$300). I guess you get what you pay for.

Any suggestions?

At the gym and at home I just use a standard bench with no bells or whistles. Better quality benches that I have seen are pricey but typically have more options. Nothing like a good solid bench under your back to make you feel secure though.

Anymore I'm beginning to think that Craigs List is the best place to shop.

Default I

Our benches seem to wobble, especially the decline as we put them under a heavy load. They just seem too flimsy and I'm thinking of spending a longer dollar to get something with more quality, stability & endurance then the cheap "Gold's Gym" home bench or the two other home benches we have. The decline we used today wobbled so bad when we lowered the dumbbells that we were a little concerned we might topple.

And now that I think about it, if I got one good bench that declined to 90; I could get rid of 3 cheap benches...more room!

Personally I would spend the extra cash on a solid bench. If you dont feel confident using a cheaper bench because it is wobbeling you are likely to go lighter with weight and not work out as intensely. Peace of mind, ya know.

I think I'm going to do that, I just need to find the best bench for the best price...time to research!

Make sure you get one with wheels if you plan on moving it alot. This is somtimes over looked and not all benches have wheels, most new benches have wheels, but not all.

Good point, being a multipurpose bench will mean it's probably moving constantly!
