1. How did you get started in Bodybuilding?

I am a CAD operator and sit behind a computer all day long.  I got married and we had our first child and each time we looked through the baby pictures, I saw myself becoming more and more out of shape...  I am 5' 10" and quickly weighed in at 240# with no exercise.  I couldn't take the thought of being that out of shape, I saw myself being to unfit to even run with my son as he would grow. So, to the gym I headed and haven't looked back... It truly is amazing not only the change in my body's looks, but how I feel...

2. What is your training philosophy?

My training philosophy is very similar to that of IFPA pro Tommy Jeffers where he said, "What God has blessed me with and given me to work with is a gift FROM God. What I choose to do with it, how I choose to diet and train is a gift TO God." Honestly I could just like anyone fall into the temptation of steroids and shortcuts, but hey this is what God has given me, let's be proud and use it to the absolute best of our abilities...

"My role models are the ones that are seldom seen on the televisions, or heard on the radio. It's not a specific person, rather a type of person."

3. What is your diet like?

I constantly am in search of protein.  Contest diets are usually started at 16 weeks out and Off-Season diets are sort of a lean gain mix.  Calories are up along with that goes more carbs and fat and increased bodyfat, but it leads to gains and I do not let it get out of hand...

4. Who are your role models?

My role models are the ones that are seldom seen on the televisions, or heard on the radio. It's not a specific person, rather a type of person.  It's the person that faces challenges with unbelievable strength and desire, they set goals and work toward them, they are honest with themselves and others and they aren't afraid to make the right decisions and stand up for what is right even if it singles them out... The kind of person that makes us natural bodybuilders the winners that we are on stage

and in life...

5. What advice would you give to new athletes? Set your goals, know that they do not come overnight, but know that each day you work hard an honest toward them, you are that much closer to glory and success !!!
