Tony
was raised in Bay Shore Long Island, where he was the youngest of six
children. It was around the age of eight that his direction in life
became apparent as he would jump off from his school desk with a red
towel pinned around his neck, claiming to be Superman. Today he actually
looks the part. But his goal was not just to show off, it was to
entertain. Tony sought whatever means he could to get a smile or a laugh
out of others feeling that the happiness of others is among life's
greatest goals.
"I think that the most important thing you
can do is to make someone smile and feel good. To me, that's the
greatest gift you can give."
At
around the age of 15, Tony transformed a spare bedroom in his families
house into a gym. This ultimately led to the transformation of his
physique as well.
As a
side note to the above, never underestimate the value of encouraging
your own children to exercise and to be a role model in this regard
yourself. Video games, television and fast food are a poor substitute
for healthy pursuits and quality time.
